Abstract
Mobility analysis to support the Government of Ghana in responding to the COVID-19 outbreak: A first report with initial insights was published on 03 April 2020, following by a second report on 15 May 2020.
In this third report, we explore whether there has been any protracted effect on travel patterns in the 12 months since COVID-19 arrived in Ghana. The graphs presented in this report focus on the time period between 1st September 2019 and 8th February 2021.
In the first sections we look how Vodafone Ghana subscribers move within and between regions and see that after an initial decline in mobility following the local lockdowns, most regions have recovered to pre-pandemic mobility levels. In the third section we look at presence of subscribers within each region.

Flowminder, Ghana Statistical Service (GSS), and Vodafone Ghana have been working together, since 2018, on a Data For Good project that aims to strengthen capacity within GSS in order to enable the types of analysis described in this report to be performed more routinely and easily.
