Flowminder co-director Andy Tatem briefs UNICEF on Flowminder's work in disaggregated data and geospatial analysis at their headquarters in New York. Professor Andy Tatem, WorldPop director and Flowminder co-director recently presented the work of the two organisations at UNICEF headquarters in New York.
Entitled 'New tools for disaggregated data: geospatial analysis for mapping population demographics and dynamics', his presentation described how the integration of census, survey, satellite and cellphone data could be used to develop high resolution maps of key sustainable development goal target indicators, and how these could be regularly and rapidly updated.
