The first case of a baby born with a birth defect linked to Zika has taken place in Europe. The baby was born in Spain with microcephaly - a defect which is thought to be connected to the virus. The child was born at a hospital in Barcelona with medics saying the baby was born with an abnormally small head. It is believed the mother had been infected with Zika during a trip to Latin America. The mother was diagnosed with the virus in May but she decided to keep the baby and it was born today, health officials said. It comes just weeks before the Olympic Games begin in Brazil, where the virus originated.
